Stsmemelt is a technical working group centered around our children. High Bar is working closely with eleven other bands to take jurisdiction over our own children. Stsmemelt has helped bands to establish their own technical working groups for each community to have their own advocates for their children. Stsmemelt has one meeting a month to go over how each community is feeling with the progress being made and how each community would like their home to be ran. High Bar hopes to have their own Stsmemelt home in the near future so we will be able to help struggling members in our community. Our Stsmemelot home will be a centre for the youth to take workshops, cultural teachings, and make connections to their community and land.
