As HBFN’s primary Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data analyst, and mapping technician, Shaye Shintah , has been working with the High Bar Stewardship and Lands department since 2023. Shaye is a member of Bonaparte Indian Band and obtained her GIS Certification from Okanagan University College. Shaye has been working in the field of GIS for more than six years. Shaye is responsible for creating and updating all of HBFN’s GIS databases and field data including Forestry, Culture & Heritage, Archaeology, Fisheries and Sustainable Habitat information. Shaye also creates quality maps for projects and mapping field maps for the field staff.
