Llenllenéy'ten (High Bar) First Nation Invites All to Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day

 

Llenllenéy'ten (High Bar) First Nation is pleased to host a National Indigenous Peoples Day Community Celebration on Friday, June 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Reg Conn Centennial Park in Clinton, B.C.

With the theme “Let’s Celebrate the Past, Challenge the Present, and Change the Future — together,” the event is open to the public and promises a day filled with culture, connection, and community.

“This day is for everyone,” says Kúkpi7 Jamie Fletcher. “It’s a time to come together in unity, share culture and stories, enjoy a meal, and continue building strong relationships with each other.”

The celebration will feature:

  • A welcome address

  • Drumming (please bring your drums)

  • Family-friendly activities

  • Local vendors and artisans

  • Free food and refreshments

All are invited to attend and take part in this opportunity to honour Indigenous heritage, celebrate resilience, and reflect on the path forward—together.
